just the other day, I've learnt the important lesson of how important is a wide angle lens.
I'm sure most of you have experienced something like what I have.
Here's my experience I'm gonna share,
I went to KLCC the other day and knowing that the twin tower is like the symbol of KL,
I might as well take a picture with it since not many people (overseas) have the opportunity to do so unless they visit Malaysia
:)
and I'm lucky enough to be able to take a picture with it.
So I thought the best place probably to take a photo with the twin tower is...
the KLCC park!
So I went to KLCC park and there I saw,
THE magnificent twin towers!!
wheee~
it's magnificent no?
So i rushed to take a pic with it,
(with a help of a friend taking the photo for me of course, just in case you were wondering)and...
this is what happens and you look at the photo taken in horror;
thinking, how could this happen!
What HORROR!!
....
Well, if you don't know what I'm talking about,
The top of KLCC is missing,
WHICH I really want it to be in the photo!!
I mean c'mon;
don't you think a human without his/her head is scary?
So a KLCC without it's top is... just not right!
And also,
half of me is not there when I wanted a full body picture!
I mean, I was wearing such nice shoes ok. (vain vain vain)
HOW CAN YOU NOT BE BOTHERED TO TAKE MY FULL BODY PHOTO?!?!
(j/k)So after much complains,
tried to take another photo with the twin towers;
okey now,
smile for the cam~
:D
...
...
oh my gosh.
okey, this sucks.
Now I still can't see the top of KLCC and I still can't see my shoes.
Must be the lame cameraman, I thought.
And so I tried taking a photo for that cameraman full body + full KLCC.
Well,
I swear it's better than what the cameraman has taken,
but I admit I still couldn't take a perfect picture of full everything that I complain of.
I realized it was really difficult.
If you want so much full everything, the person taking the picture just gotta move back miles away till he/she gets everything you want in the picture.
And that's difficult.
Well 'cos then people in between you and the cameraman won't realize that you were taking a picture and just pass by like no one's business and you will look dumb standing in the middle of the road smiling at the passing people in front of you
:)
Until they gotta use like a telescope to spot the cameraman miles away.
And who the heck cares anyways after the picture is taken 'cos you will end up looking like an ant and just to get your friends notice you in the photo, you gotta like use a toothpick to show your friends where you were standing HAHAHA.
ok.
Now,
let me introduce you,
the life savior of this scene;
THE JELLY LENS!
It's amazing how this lens works.
It saves money from getting those expensive wide angle lens and it sticks to any phone camera, or digital camera when you're just out on a casual day, carrying most probably only your phone but it just so happens that you wanted to snap a photo where you wish wide angle lens was there with you.
Well, I'll show you samples of photos taken with this jelly lens in my next post
:)
